Black Park Shep puppies at play enjoyed by one and all. 7 months and did I have a grooming job afterwards or what. 8 months and adult coat well on it's way, weight gain had now dropped dramatically and Raife was around 32 kgs.

Smashing photos! Lucy likes to pounce on Gus when he's laying on his back in the grass (somethng he loves to do often!), she gets him by the throat but I doubt whether he feels anything through his thick mane! He doesn't seem to mind in any case.

Hi Alan, ive just come across this as I have just come back from holiday and am catching up on posts. I was shocked that Raife had passed he was such a lovely pup. Yes the Black Park walks were nice and the dogs played so nicely. When Aide went I was devastated as you can imagine. That was until I swore to just think of the happy times and the good things we got up to. I have now got a 20 month old with the same 'Rare' condition that Aide died of but he is hanging on in there and this time I am ready for when he goes. With Aide she passed in a week, what you must be feeling having Raife just collapse on you is awful, my heart goes out to you.

Thanks Chris, Sorry to hear about your youngster and with the same rare condition as Aide seems unbelievable. I think you once called them "Life Dogs" the dog you grow old with. No bad times to remember for me it was all good and all the love you give comes back in spades. Kai is keeping me on the straight and narrow but I do miss the morning serenade with them both doing their wolf howl as in "Time to get up Dad". Best Wishes Mate Alan

There is no good way or age to lose a friend like Raife. I have had the experience 4 times at the Vets over the years I remember everyone vividly it is shocking enough in a controlled and calm environment. My sincere condolences that was a terrible experience to have to endure I hope Raife felt no pain in his passing and that in time the wonderful times together will eventually give you some comfort but for now I feel for you. RIP Raife

RIP Raife Thanks for that Mate. I fought hard for him and I hope he knew that. Still totally gutted and I miss the daft Lad chasing leaves and catching daddy long legs in the dark this time of the year.
