Nice to see pics of him Flossie, he is only a couple of weeks behind mine and you will be happy to hear that the biting is getting less and I can see his big boy teeth protruding a bit. He seems a lot calmer in his self as well. Hope that cheers you up Ha!

He is getting better with his socialising Brian, thank you. Still weary and will hang back at times but not so much. Some people will just stand and hold out a hand to him and he'll go sniff them. After a short stroke of his head he will step away and that is enough for him. He sits down if I stop to chat to anyone, which is good. We see several children on his early evening walk and he is ok with them so long as they don't run at him with arms outstretched (Can't blame him for that) I keep telling them to not run at him, to stand still and hold their hand out till he gets use to them. A couple aren't getting the message, so I will keep on.
Yes, Chris, Logan is biting at me less, thankfully. Still happens but not as often or as prolonged. It's poor Arthur on the receiving end now which I am trying to break him of. He keeps grabbing his legs or the long hair at the sides of his face so I am not letting them play till he stops doing it. It made Arthur limp the other night and he's never done that, poor lad. I can see Logan wants to be top dog here already. It's surprised me he wants to at his age. Especially as outside he looks to Arthur to show him the way and protect him.
Overall I am pleased with how he's doing though. He can be very loveable and cuddly when he wants lols

Thank you Chris, Jenna and Brian - he has been on 'craze alert' alert this morning lols.
Look forward to seeing Vinny's photos Chris. There are so many variations in Shepherds. Few are exactly the same.

Its funny that there all bred to a standard...who's standard is anyone's guess as they are all shapes and sizes. This is why we get a bit upset when somebody says 'well its good for them to have one litter which of course is nonsense and you should only breed if it furthers the quality of the Shepherd, which it rarely does if you just breed willy nilly. (ooh sounds rude)

Lols - I know what you mean Chris. I have heard people say they have let their bitch (any breed) have pups to see if it calms them down etc. Not sure if it works or not. Maybe in some cases.
Logan was naughty boy earlier - jumping over Arthur and pulling his fur. I parted them and told Logan 'no' so he promptly jumped and nipped my hand and then sat down like he had done nothing wrong. Looked the face of innocence. Every time I think he has stopped the nipping he proves me wrong. He is getting better but it can't happen soon enough, little monkey!

Just an update on Logan's antics. He has been in a wars this past week. First he got his neck trapped under the recliner chair and I thought he was going to hang himself in panic trying to get out. I got under there with him and calmed him down and found I couldn't get him out either. Hubby, who is mechanical minded couldn't get down to see what was going on as he can't kneel so he ended up shouting for help to neighbours outside. Logan was finally released after a good 15 mins of being trapped by his neck. I don't know who was most upset him or me but I have never hugged him so long when he came out. Thankfully no harm done to him and in no time he was walking about like nothing happened and sniffing the two strange men who rescued him. I love that he had complete trust in me holding him underneath those metal bars and was able to tolerate the bloke under there with us as he must have hated that!
Then on Friday night at his socialisation class something must have bit him in the grass and it caused a reaction so he had to have the bottom of his back shaved at the vets this morning. Another ordeal for him being held by strangers (and me of course) whilst the vet did it. Bless him he was so brave and allowed them to do it without crying or struggling. I am learning Logan is made of tough stuff. He's going to make a mighty fine dog!
