(this set of posts were originally 'Logan at 10 months')
At last a photo of Logan. I have had loads of trouble with the sizing. To date he weighs 6.8 kilos. Which is a little under or his age. But he does look chunkier than in the photo.

Ah Logan looks lovely. I'm already a couple of weeks in front of you so i'll take this opportunity to say 'Good luck' I'm having a hard time with mine at the moment with the biting. Saying no and doing everything textbook is just encouraging him to do it more and harder. Last night when he was in his bewitching hour (read 2 hours) I changed the way I handled it. I put on a thick fleece jacket, we will call it my bite suit, and just let him get it out of his system with the view of showing him that what ever he throws at me i'm not bothered. I also held him and stroked him a lot to stop him in his tracks a bit. I don't think that it worked but I felt better not losing my temper so much. Roll on when he can go out. Shelly don't let that cute little face distract you, these little fluff balls hurt. He does look gorgeous though, well done.

Thanks Cockneychris - I have those biting moments with Logan too. Initially I kept pulling him off my jeans legs and firmly saying 'No'. I thought I had results with that but a few days later he was back at it again. I have had to buy some hug boot type slippers because it hurts like crazy when he catches the backs of my ankles. He will grab hold and sometimes I am not near a toy so I drag him along and pick up a toy to distract him. It does work most of the time. I don't like the frenzy moments. They aren't often but once when you're caught is enough. I have found the best thing at the moment is to put something in his mouth other than my leg/ankle/arm. Hoping it doesn't get worse!!
Have you a photo of your pup in here? Is he the liver coloured pup?

What a beautiful boy Love his face Who's the shep in your avatar?? Could you work out how to make a signature, so that I can remember what you'd prefer to be called?? It's only if you 'attach' pix that you have to fiddle with size - it's easier to link to pix you've stored elsewhere. Currently Facebook seems the simplest, but I'm sure that'll change. CChris' pup is called Vinny - there's a thread with pix

Have you a photo of your pup in here? Is he the liver coloured pup? Vinny is a long coat red sable - is that right, Chris?

Thank you everyone for your comments.
I will have a look at how to do a signature gtrmacs. The dog in my avatar is Merlin who we lost in January. That photo was taken around November. When I figure out how to get the pictures on properly I'll send another of Merlin. He had many different looks. His dad was full shepherd and his mum supposed to be 3 quarter Shepherd quarter Border Collie but she didn't look to have any collie in her and Merlin had no collie traits. People were always asking if he was Leonberger. He had a lot of those traits so tbh we don't know.
Logan can be very loving but will have a sudden manic streak where he squeals and starts tugging at ankles or arms. Hoping he stops that as time goes on!
I will go look for Cockneychris' puppy!

Yes red sable but his colour is changing from that photo now he is a lot darker down his back. Nose has got longer and since his bath at the weekend a lot fluffier. If you gaffer taped a stick to his tail you could use him as a feather duster to do your shelves.
Oh and thank you Brian.

(... and these were 'Another of Logan')
Here's another photo of Logan running about with my doggy granddaughter Skye. Skye is nearly 13 years old.
