We shall have to organise something for next year then!
We went to Tilbrook last year and that was brilliant, vans and tents mixed on one field. That’s way down south near Peterborough so no idea where it will be in relation to all you guys?
We will have to get heads together after Christmas and work something out!

That's getting on for central but I must warn you that to get everyone together can be a nightmare but we will give it a go.

I can imagine that Chris!
It was Summer Field Campsite we used and it was fab. Even did a campers breakfast on the Sunday Morning!
I’m sure between us all we can sort something out. I’m easy if it’s a weekend or school hols. Kids are used to being thrown in the car and driven for miles to camp!

How far north? I can see Hadrian’s Wall ... I was thinking rather how far North In Surrey is Oana - Croydon or Haslemere ?? CChris and I have some good friends for walks around the Croydon/Whyteleafe/... areas - and Laney (who is a member but hasn't posted yet ) Rents 100 acres for a riding school near Godalming (perfect for undisciplined sheps).

You can’t say dogs and camping to Brian in the same sentence without him counting his pegs ... Would be super to do that again, but we'd need to 'activate' more members before hand?? Last shep camping was in Derbyshire upperhurstfarm.com/There's an 'organising' thread here gsduk.boards.net/thread/30/campalamping?page=4We went May Bank Holiday on what turned out to be a _bitterly_ cold (and wet) weekend. Upper Hurst Farm faces down into a valley, which funneled the north wind up and across the site If you stood beyond the loo block you could stay dry, anywhere else on site you'd get drenched _and_ frozen. First time I've _ever_ had to wear, nightclothes camping - we nipped into the nearest town and bought thermals

... it would be brilliant if we could organise something for next year ... It would be good to meet everyone! Me too pls!! We love camping ... Now that you know where the 'organise a meetup' sub-forum is, p'raps you'd like to organise a meet-up between you ?? The only oddity might be timing it round CChris' new arrival ?? ... Jeskyns not far from me at all .... 🙈 Not that far from CChris'n'me, noither (olympic park/chelmsford) - p'raps a good first meet might be on someone else's established walk, say Ockham Common, Near Wisley, Surrey -------------- Nearest postcode is KT11 1ND forum.biggsd.com/topic/7188812/1/or a GSRE walk. Happy to drive a couple of hours (each way)for a good meet-up - tho' atm it would feel a bit 'unfaithful' to organise a walk without CChris

All sounds good. I hope to have her fully aclimatised to the big wide world by then! What with legs and seasons I'm currently thwarted lol. She's managed the big wide world on lead and will work up to the shep walk once she's fit enough. I'm sure with time she'll be fine, just might only want to play with my other 2 🙃
I'm a caravan girl and will have the heating on and where a cup of tea is just a flick of a switch 😉

Lol 🙊😂
Ginto would love a small puppy much better. Far less intimidating and she could mistake it for a cockapoo-her fave 😝
