Some of you will remember me talking about a GSD called Olly that had become rather a bully. The owner has had him castrated and now also walks him with a muzzle but she is trying to get him to interact in a well mannered way with other dogs. So far she is doing well with it but she admits it is hard work as she did let Olly have his own way. Gary will tell him off if he gets out of hand but Gary will also play with him so it is a good energy release for them both. When Olly gets over the top he is put back on his lead and made to walk on the lead or taken away so his bad behaviour results in no more play time. So far it seems to be working with them. I was a little wary but we let Olly meet Jack. Olly did have a bit of a growl which surprised me a little as Jack is still a pup, but Olly was kept on the lead and we walked both dogs on lead a little distance apart. Here is a photo of them sat. I had let go of Jacks lead but Olly was firmly secured, so Jack could find his own space that he felt comfortable in sitting near to Olly.

It isn't easy when a dog's been allowed it's own way, is it?
Jack's a little star!

It's great that you and Olly's mum can help each other. I know from experience how traumatic walks can be when you have a bully to control and it's so lovely to come across someone that's understanding! Good luck to Olly (and you obviously).

Olly and owner are doing really well. It is hard for them because they have some bad habits to break and a bad reputation to overcome because we are a village community. I think the plus is that Ollys owmer feels more confident when she meets me as she knows I am not judgemental and Gary will put Olly in his place if required

Olly is mainly kept on the lead but she lets him run with gary but if he gets out of hand he is back on the lead. Here's a photo of Olly and Gary after they had been running together. Olly got a bit over the top so he was back on a long lead and then he followed Gary in to the water as we called a time out and let him settle down.
