Lovely - but what brought that on Brian? Jake - a lovely old shep that CChris and I know, seems to have lost the use of his back end His Dad posted the first piece on FB, I thought it would be appropriate for our Rainbow Bridge section ...

Blimey, talk about heart-breaking. I didn't get very far without welling up. So sorry to hear about Jake, he looks gorgeous! On the same subject, I read somewhere last week that an owner was not allowed to be with their dog at the end because of distancing rules! I would have kicked up an almighty stink, there's no way I'd leave any of my animals at the crucial moment!

Stories about heartless/proscriptive vets are all over the interweb atm Another good reason to choose your vet carefully - listen to your heart ...

We met Jake at a ‘Mygermanshepherd’ group walk and his owner was afraid that if he let Jake off of the lead he would attack The other dogs. We kept and eye on him and said to his owner that he just wanted to play with the other dogs. So he let him off and we all kept an eye out for trouble but none came. He grew up to be an amazing dog from the rescue that he was. He need s your best thoughts before he has to leave.

I would have kicked up an almighty stink, there's no way I'd leave any of my animals at the crucial moment! We were so lucky. When Dempsey left us the vet set up a long iv drip & sat at the other side of the room, and we were allowed to sit with, hold & cuddle Dempsey as he slipped away.

We met Jake at a ‘Mygermanshepherd’ group walk ... Greenham Common - with Aide and Charley Jake's owner was in tears, said he didn't think he'd ever see Jake running free with a pack of sheps And Jake had a wonderful time, running and paddling with his new friends. I miss those walks, and our friends from MGS ...

So sorry to hear about Jake, he looks gorgeous! Another rescue(d) shep success, lovely boy I think it was his Dad who needed more confidence meeting other dogs, but MGS walks were wonderful for that
