I can’t think of ever getting another dog again ... I'm sure you feel like that now, but I think the best tribute to a dog you've lost is to share what you've learned together with another dog in need ... Understandable that you won't feel that way for a while 🤗... such a handsome boy ❤️ Isn't he just I believe we get the dogs we need, and that need us - please stay in touch with us ...

You’re dead right, I can’t think of another dog right now but I’m sure when I’m feeling better and the pain isn’t so intense that I will.
I will definitely keep in touch with the group, in the short time that I was here I learnt so much from it and it gave me so much comfort when Zuko was unwell or having surgeries, thank you all!

I will definitely keep in touch with the group, in the short time that I was here I learnt so much from it and it gave me so much comfort when Zuko was unwell or having surgeries, thank you all! When I lost Dempsey, last May, I alternated between "never again" and "not for at least a year". Then, after a few weeks, we realised that the house was too empty. Too quiet. I approached a breeder I've known for years & asked if I could be put on a waiting list. Because I knew her well, she told me when a mating had taken place. The parents were perfect. The breeder was perfect. We took the plunge. The rest is history. And although sometimes I still feel a little guilty, Badger has helped us come to terms with Dempsey's death. Everyone is different, and we all deal with things in our own way. But the best complement you can give a loved, departed dog, is that you loved them so much you can't bear to be without another pupster. Take your time. But don't say "never".

I found that having another pup/dog helped me a great deal. It was only around 10 months after Aide's death and I was suffering so went ahead with the pup idea. You always keep your past dogs in your head so never say never.

This is heartbreaking. I’m so so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine losing a pup so young with all the time you’ve had to fall in love with him. Sending deepest sympathies
