Very sad - some of it driven by folks who've lost income, or all 'professionals' ??

I think it boils down to "let's not think about it, or plan it. Just DO it".
It's a case of so many thought a puppy would fill the 'gap' in the lockdown & then found they'd have to look after the pup when they went back to work.
