I know I shouldn't use attachments, but going through tapatalk seems too much effort right now. I'll change it later. This is a painting given to us by the mum of one of Eleanor's friends. She actually finished it the day he died...

A great painting - it is quite a good likeness of Dempsey judging by the photos I have seen, RIP Dempsey!

Dear Caryll
I am so so sorry to read this. Actually crying with you.
You have been so kind and generous with your time and advice for everyone who comes here. Dempsey must have been the luckiest doggy in the world to have you as his mummy.
Thinking of you and your family at this heartbreaking time. RIP Dempsey.
Xxxxx

Today has been hard - a whole week. Feels like it was yesterday. We've finally cleared his bedding etc (gone down to the cellar because I didn't feel like throwing it all away). Some of his toys have gone to the RSPCA for the kennel dogs, some have gone to a friend's dog which has just started chemo for Lymphoma. We can talk about him now with only occasional tears & we've decided that we will get another dog at some point; just have to wait until the pain has dimmed a little.

Spoke to Andrea Gates today (she pointed me in Dempsey's direction 11 years ago) & she has offered to put me on her waiting list for a pup - as soon as we're ready she'll bump us up to the top of the list. What a lovely lady.

I'm not going anywhere! I'd have gone for a shep, but my oh isn't keen, and I wonder if I'm actually strong enough nowadays!
