As it was very wet weather yesterday, the dogs went to daycare for a couple of hours. As it turned out, it was GSD Friday!

So, the hounds went to daycare for a couple of hours yesterday. Two photos below, one is quite interesting because it appears to show a spaniel growing out of the top of Gus's head! The photos are a bit fuzzy, not taken by me.

Great photos Is it my imagination, or is Lucy bigger than Gus? Should be the other way round really, but maybe the way the photos were taken?

Do you know how much Lucy weighs? Lilah is 33.5 kg which seems a lot when I check online growth charts but there’s nothing to her!

Do you know how much Lucy weighs? Lilah is 33.5 kg which seems a lot when I check online growth charts but there’s nothing to her! Lucy is part collie so she's not as solid as a GSD normally is. She is more like the build of a border collie, she has very fine almost delicate legs. She weighs around 30kgs. The online growth charts are all very well but they don't take into account the build of the dog. Lilah is still very young and she has a lot of filling out to do, so don't worry too much.

Thank you!
The vet said she was looking really good and the weight gain was positive (she lost a lot of weight when ill) but I stupidly googled!!

Weight charts are over-rated. As Jacqui says, it is the build of the dog - I was told by our previous vet that Axel "could lose a few pounds". Okay, maybe at 43 kg (6.77 stone) he was off the weight chart for a dog his age then, but he is tall and definitely not overweight. You should be able to feel the ribs and not see them as far as I know (unless somebody knows better?).
