I seem to remember a drone show on TV quite a few months ago, also in China at a technology exhibition I think. It was amazing, it really is a good idea. I believe they are all controlled by a single computer. I guess they are not near an airport or flight path - could be a bit hairy otherwise!

Prob'ly in China the authorities can do what they like with the airwaves. Each drone would need its own frequency?? Or maybe you can multiplex them??
