Absolutely awful - the other thing that is worrying is that apparently he did not do it himself, if you were a vet would you not ask questions?

I'd like to chop the ears off anyone found to be cropping a dog's ears!
I absolutely HATE the procedure.

I once visited a horse rescue centre in Sussex (horses are another passion of mine) and suddenly came face to face with a horse that had had his ears cut off - I just burst into tears, I couldn't believe that someone could do that to such a beautiful animal.  Despite that, he was a very friendly soul.  |

When we first got the dobi, somebody approached me and asked whether I would have her ears cropped, I replied, "No, whatever for, you would not cut off the toes of your child would you?". Cropping anything is mutilation in my eyes, apart from of course medical necessity. Some people just make your skin crawl....
Poor horse, why would anybody do that is beyond me.
