I used to take Dempsey to work 3 times a week, but since his chemo he hasn't been.

Too true - Axel is always at my workplace, and unless he is sleeping, it is difficult to do much Good job that I like to work at night when he is actually sleeping!

I think it's lovely to have a dog at work.... 😁 I'd take Lucy because she loves to be cuddled by just about anyone , I don't think Gus would appreciate it, he's a bit more particular about who gets close to him (or me).

I asked my boss if I could bring my dog to work and showed him a picture of Zac, he told me that he wasn't going to let an Alsation come to work because they are attack dogs! I bit my tongue and walked calmly out of his office, bubbling inside!

I bit my tongue and walked calmly out of his office, bubbling inside! You were WAY more politically correct than I would have been. But then again, unless I stole from the Church, my employment is pretty much secure! I also have an edge - my boss (parish priest) has a GSD the same age as Dempsey & I actually 'fostered' her for several months when she was a 'teenager'!

I have perfected the art of tongue biting since owning a German shepherd!

I have perfected the art of tongue biting since owning a German shepherd! I perfected that many years ago! "Border Collies are easy to train" "Tervueren...what's that?" "Alsatians are vicious" "Alsatians have short coats, German Shepherds have long coats" "Staffordshire Bull what?" "Staffordshire Bull Terriers are devil dogs" "Bull Terriers are thick" Well, okay, the last one is probably true, but still, I don't like people 'assuming'!

Haha, I have actually been told about Alsations having short coats and German Shepherds having long coats before.....it was one of those 'experts' you meet on walks! They typically have a little fluffy white dog which they pick up the moment they see a shep!

T'n'me're a mobile educating machine But then, we live in an area where 90%+ are terrified of _any_ dogs ... It was the same in Slough. Most people (mainly muslim area) were terrified of any dog, let alone a Stafford! I hate to think what they'd have done if I'd been there when I had the sheps!
