I don't usually tell rescues that we've got cats, Caryll

Took me 6 months to get her to coexist politely with Dusty (who grew up from a teeny kotteb with Charley and didn't understand why Tasha couldn't 'get' cats). But she's had Zena (the black and white kit) since she was abandoned in a bookies at 6 weeks old, she's always been exquisitely gentle with her <3 <3 One of Zena's favourite games is to ambush her - but she never uses any claws

It's amazing to see lovely Tasha change from the reserved slightly scared dog in the first photo into a confident loving companion. And able to accept and love Zena the kitten. She must have sensed that Zena had been abandoned perhaps like she was.

Zena was taught 'velvet paws' from very early on - she still doesn't use claws playing with us

Teeth, tho', are something else ...

It's lovely watching her hurtle across the kitchen at knee-height to wrap herself around Tasha's head <3 <3
