Dempsey's best friend, Pneuma, died this morning. Gastric Dilatation Volvulus.
She was a bit 'off' yesterday, but this morning she was trying to be sick, but couldn't & she couldn't poo. My boss rushed her to the vets, but she was already in shock when she got there. The vet didn't think she'd survive anaesthetic, so she was given rest early this afternoon.
I 'adopted' her when she was young & her owner had to move away. She stayed with me until she was about 2 years old & then my boss (local Parish Priest) took her on as he'd always loved GSDs.
She was the sweetest, friendliest GSD I've ever known (including my own) and I'll miss her terribly.
My poor boss is in bits.
