I’m sure there’s a lot of ‘deep’ sayings ; one being ‘it’s better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all’. Meant for a different context but same idea. Not fair on Vinny to hold back. We choose to get more pets knowing our hearts will break again but we can’t bear to be without them either 😕💔. Take some more pics - u will wish u had one day when he’s old and grey 🙂

... they all get your heart in the end, CChris 3 months after we got Ozzy, I knew we wouldn't have him for long - my head said, 'just make his last time as easy as possible ...'. But even tho' he was only with us for 6 months, I prob'ly cried more for him than any of the others ...

I don't want to feel that deeply about a dog again. And then you wake up one morning and realise... too late, you're already hooked. And you are - you know it & so does Vinnie.

You hold on to the memories, good and bad of each dog, then the next one makes their own place in your heart. Our hearts grow with each dog or pet we have.
