Best not to make a fuss about him going in your car just put him in as usual and go on your way. I hope you are ok Jenn. Thank you. He won't be in my car for a while anyway until its fixed or won't be back in it if its wrote off as damage is pretty bad. He did go in Neils car ok so I'm hoping he isn't too traumatised and he has been his usual self tonight with his antics. Were both fine which is the main thing and noone was injured. Just a bit shook up after it. So much for a relaxing week off work 🤣

What a horrible thing to happen - glad you're both okay.
Murphy might be a bit 'depressed' for a day or so, but he should be okay. I hope your car isn't a write off, but the other car must have hit yours really hard! What was the excuse? Did you report it to the police as there was possible injury?

Excuse could have been black ice? Where we are it was extremely slippery the last few days, considering that Jenn is about thirty miles from here it is probably similar. Hubby hasn't used his car for days, we walk extremely slowly, it is like an outing of very old people when we are out on walks. Axel obviously wants to walk faster, but that will have to wait until it gets warmer. He has to adjust to our (temporary) pace at the moment...

OMG don't remind me about slippery pavements etc - Dempsey used to be a dab hand at increasing his speed just as I was about to step over a sheet of ice!

Apologies for late response, spent yesterday recovering!
They said it was low sun so never seen me! Police turned up because the fire brigade were they and they said they wouldn't go any further due to low sun.
Got the news this afternoon car isn't a write off thankfully. Murphy has been absolutely fine though and up to his usual antics.

Good Insurance will cover?? 50/50?? Surely the fault is with the other driver?

Don't really understand why the police didn't take action?? If you're dazzled, can't see and hit someone. _surely_ you're at fault?? Suppose it had been a child - or worse, a dog ?? "Sorry I mowed down those people on the zebra crossing, officer, but I was temporarily driving with my eyes closed ..."

Surely if you can't see properly then you should stop. In almost all cases, as Brian says, if you hit someone up the back it's your fault.
Anyway its just a piece of metal. Its you that is most breakable so i'm glad you and Murphy are ok, all the rest is fixable.

Driver took full blame straight away so her insurance is covering my car being fixed etc. Yeah main thing was we are all OK, Murphy doesn't seem affected by it either and went in Neils car perfectly fine today too. Had him up our local park today so I could get out for fresh air too and to stretch off as my full left side is sore and back so didn't want to be lounging around too long making it worse but then not over doing it either photos.app.goo.gl/1cPphajyXYH2w6rv5
