Beautiful & so quiet!
Got to say I've no idea where that is, though.

Love the cliffs and the fact that there doesn't seem to be any pebbles, but don't know where that is.

We went: to Whitstable and walked along the top of the (shingle) beach. Too cold for T to swim, she did paddle a bit (notice sandals ) On to Herne Bay for a quick look, then Cliftonville for coffee and cake. The pix are taken in Botany Bay, ('At last', Tasha said, '_proper_ beach!!') Then Broadstairs proper, for fish'n'chips - which we ate in the car on the seafront, in the rain. _Dreary_ drive home, not enough rain for the wipers or intermittently too much - vision was terrible. The plan was to finish in Ramsgate, but it got dark... goo.gl/maps/rwmjVCdEkdyCF6Jz5... and only an hour or so drive from us

Sounds great, was it a spur of the moment thing, or had you planned it?

I took Vinny to Whitstable It was very cold and the oyster shell beach hurt his paws. I was busting for a wee and had to take him into the mens with me and we shocked a few people on the way out.

... was it a spur of the moment thing, or had you planned it? It was a spur of the moment thing for last Friday (Dawny said on the Thursday, 'why don't we go to a beach??') but the weather wasn't conducive So with time to plan, I researched promising beaches near us and realised I could hook them into one drive. Monday was the next dry forecast day, not much sun but about 15C. Next Thursday's forecast sunnier but only about 8C with gale force northerly winds!! A learning exercise I took Vinny to Whitstable It was very cold and the oyster shell beach hurt his paws. I was busting for a wee and had to take him into the mens with me and we shocked a few people on the way out. Tasha went into the ladies with Dawn at Whitstable - I had to use a fencepost above Botany Bay since the loos were boarded up I should have known - most are old haunts! Didn't know you haunted things, Caryll
