I just hope they can get the person who did it!

Can't be that hard to give away kittens ... You'd be surprised - there are loads of kittens in rescue centres. People don't seem to get them the way they used to.

We used to get our rescue kits from the vet - nice little earner for them ... Earner? We got a rescue cat from the vet for free. Mind you, that was in the early nineties, and it was a fully grown cat (still young though, a year old). Different vets, different attitudes I guess. Unfortunately, the vet is now a chain of vets, as the (independent) owner was too old to carry on. Previously they were an extremely caring practice, but now they seem to be out all for the profit (bane of a vet chain).

Ahah!! The _kottebs_ are free, then there's vaccinations, neutering, checkups, medication, senior care ...
So a small act of kindness by one practice generates a lifetime income for the parent group.

You're quite right Brian, I never thought of it that way! But then again, you have a loving pet, which outweighs the cost?
