That's what I was thinking Brian, 4years old, perhaps the owner walked her to far, glad she's ok.

Well, 4 years old for a st. Bernard is probably middle aged - maybe she has the onset of arthritis?

It said on the news this morning she was (stretchered down the mountain for 5 hours) long way for a middle aged dog.

I bet Daisy could not give a hoot - St. Bernards are known for looking guilty in any case, never mind when being rescued, it is just their "natural" look.
