Sad news, but not sure how she could have tangled herself up so much? Fairly certain though that it must have been those horrible extensible leads?

That is the first thought I had, unless they are very powerful and strong dogs who jumped up at her and then somehow the leads got around her neck (which I still think would be difficult even then), all rather odd.

Never believe anything you read in The Sun! There's bound to be more to it than this.

True - but if you google, each telling of the story is pretty much a word-for-word mirror !!

The Daily Mail had a bit more information about the woman. It seems she had Huntingdon's disease so it is entirely possible that she fell and then got tangled in the leads if the dogs were stressed and running about. There is no mention of what breeds the dogs were but the description of the accident makes me suspect larger breeds.
It would not surprise me if they were flexi-leads. I hate the things. I only use my trusty meter and a half lead with neoprene (you can still grip it when it's wet). I tried using a 2 meter lead but both Buddy and I find it too long
